We just spent an afternoon in the Chelsea floral market. Our favorite stretch is on 28th street between 6th and 7th. Check out some of our favorite finds!

neighborhood watch: Jellyfish!

October 26th, 2012

Have you noticed the schools of Jellyfish closing in on you? We have and we LOVE them! A couple weekends ago we were in Bushwick when we first noticed them. Now we see them popping up all over the city. We love the simplicity of the organic drips and the color pallets. On a gloomy street, they brighten your walk!

Loving this skeleton I spotted on the streets of Savannah, Georgia!

neighborhood watch: color blocks

December 20th, 2011

We spotted this simple brick color blocking on our way to brunch this weekend in Williamsburg.

Did anyone see this in the sky yesterday around 6pm? I watched the letter’s unfold as I biked home and kept thinking this is a really bad advertisement. After doing a bit of research I discovered it’s part of the artist Kim Beck‘s “The Sky is the Limit/NYC” project. Three phrases were written in the sky over Manhattan ‘Lost Our Lease’ ‘Last Chance’ and ‘Now Open’.

Were getting pumped for Halloween this week! Biking by the American Radiator building today we couldn’t help but be inspired.

neighborhood watch: flaming cactus

September 22nd, 2011

We just love these “flaming cactus” instillation’s in Astor place. They were created by the Animus Art Collective and commissioned by the city for the Department of Transportation’s Summer Street. Such a simple idea wrapping Plastic Neon cable ties around lamp posts!

We will always remember this friendly scaffolding across the street from our studio that made us smile.

neighborhood watch: Olek

September 22nd, 2011

Were huge fan’s of the artist Olek! So we were excited to wake up and find this instillation on our block.
